HERE ARE SOME OF THE STEPS AND REQUIREMENTS TO GET A CDL LICENSE TO START YOUR CAREER AS A TRUCKER.

You must have:

• You need to obtain a (DOT) Department of Transportation Physical medical exam (https://www.transportation.gov/) from a DOT listed doctor.
• You need to be 18 years old at least. (https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/)
• You need to have a current driver license that is active and current.
• You need to write, read and speak fluently English according to the code FMCSR 391.11(b)(2).
• Before you start lessons on the field in a commercial truck, the DMV asks that you obtain a Commercial Learner’s Permit which gives you Permission to practice in a truck and then ultimately return to the DMV to take the CDL road exam for the actual Commercial driver’s license.
